Before starting the firm, founding attorney Lewis Stone served as City Attorney for Eustis. In 2001, Scott Gerken was named City Attorney for Fruitland Park where he served until 2014. He was also named City Attorney for Minneola, where he continues to serve today. Members of our team also currently serve as City Attorney for Umatilla and Leesburg.
We are District Counsel for numerous Community Development Districts as well as a host of utility districts. We represent several Community Development Districts and have handled land disputes for Lake County in a Special Master capacity. Throughout our history, Stone & Gerken have served as interim or substitute counsel for most of the cities in Lake County.
