About Alina MariA Alvarez

Alina Maria Alvarez joined Stone & Gerken as a senior associate attorney in June of 2026, with a focus on litigation practice involving local government law. She counsels on both pre-litigation and litigation matters, vigorously representing her clients.

Previously, Alina focused on insurance disputes representing major insurance companies throughout the State of Florida. She handled cases in litigation from start to finish and often proceeded to trial as lead trial counsel. Although Alina is a trial attorney at heart, she works diligently to obtain early favorable results for her clients.

Alina attended the University of Central Florida graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and Minor in Sociology. Thereafter, she attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law in Gainesville graduating with her Juris Doctor in 2016. During this time, she had the pleasure of serving as President of the Cuban American Bar Association and Vice President of the Latino Law Student Association.

In addition to her professional life, Alina is an animal lover and has several pets, all adopted from rescues throughout the state. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and crafting. Recently becoming a resident of Lake County, Alina looks forward to establishing roots and assisting the local community.
